February 2009:  [http://www.teageek.net/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=47 Online Tea Tasting Class!]

The next class being offered by Tea Geek is a bit unconventional.  In order to serve a wider audience with events, I'm looking for people willing to take an experimental tea-tasting class online.  For $19, which includes shipping, you will get a small gaiwan for brewing, and several samples of tea...and, of course, the information you need to take the class.  (If you've purchased the Purple/Red Gaiwan Tasting Set before and don't want another gaiwan, you can take the class for half price: $9.50.)

The class will have four lessons, a new one "released" once a week for four weeks.  There isn't a set time when you have to be in class, although reading the lesson and doing the assignment(s) soon after the new lesson is available is expected.  There will be a posting/discussion component to the class.  Topics covered will include how to brew in a gaiwan, sensory evaluation of tea (appearance, smell, flavor), a little history, a bit of geography, some tea-processing information, and whatever else I feel like adding to the basic structure between now and the start of class.

The first class will be posted February 1st, and you'll need your class materials by then, so please register on or before January 23rd so I can get them packed up and sent out to you.

For those who already got the Gaiwan Tasting Set, use the coupon code "GotOne" (without quotes) and you'll get just the samples and no gaiwan.
