Qimen (Keemun) Hao Ya A

$4.75

Qimen (also spelled "Keemun") Hao Ya A  comes from Qimen county, Anhui province, China.  Hao Ya refers to the tiny young leaves used to make this exceptional tea, and is divided into two grades: A and B.

This grade-A Hao Ya is rich, with a dark-yet-fruity character common to many high-grade Qimen teas.  The process of making this tea does not include a roast or smoking, but the flavors often seem to be a combination of a very light smokiness and a rose-like fragrance.

While it is strong enough to stand up to milk for those who feel they need it, this exceptional tea very much shows off its best character when enjoyed alone.

Sold by the ounce.  One ounce makes about 10 cups, for a cost per cup of only 45 cents.
