Dang, I only took the challenge test three weeks after your blog post! I was told not many people had used the challenge option, but I had no idea no one had passed until you. I was supposed to get my results emailed Wednesday but haven’t heard yet. I think I did well enough to pass, though. Where did you take your test? Were there any questions that gave you difficulty?

Well, let me tell you something, Mr Coffeeeee (just kidding)…No, really, this is simply incredible. I knew China would have tea agriculture experts just like there is such schooling here in the US for other types of crops. But the way you’ve described it, there’s a wealth of human capital in China about tea. And just to think, no one in the West even knows how to make Puerh. They haven’t cracked that code!

Um, well, congratulations, I guess. I do have to agree with you about American sloppiness about knowledge and mastery. Is it a sign of this that they could not spell your name right? However, it still is an accomplishment, so for that, congrats

Gosh, this is a great article. I was just talking about how in the US we can “master” just about anything with a certificate, after paying a thousand or two dollars. I also have the STI 1 and 2. Although I certainly enjoyed the classes immensely and learned alot, it would be very difficult for me to call myself a tea master. Thank you for bringing this “out of the closet”.
